I, Svetlana Yablonskaya, come from a long line of clothing manufacturers, and since my childhood, I have been exposed to this intricate process. Welcome to my world of perfect, natural and ECO friendly clothes. Once 6 years ago I'd made for my husband a knitted hat with my own hands and it became a noticeable moment of my life, when my passion changed into lovely business.

I used to teach chemistry at the university. My teaching career ended with the coming of the war. I started knitting because it had been a passion of mine since childhood. Today I'm in the BYYA team — it's a new experience and stage in my life.

At BYYA I'm responsible for business development. The war forced me to take urgent measures to relocate people. Organizing humanitarian aid, finding overseas suppliers, volunteer initiatives — it's just a small list of my new duties in wartime.

I'm a person with disabilities, I stayed in Kharkiv. I suffer a lot because my beloved cat Masyanya died from the bombing. Working at BYYA keeps my spirits up. My work is angora hats, which you can find in the store.

I'm a professional seamstress, technologist, and designer from Kharkiv. Sewing is my passion and vocation. I'm also a single mother. I escaped the war in Lithuania with my 17 y.o. daughter. I'm proud of her as she's studying to be a designer.

I stayed in Chuguev. Since there're active military operations, I can't leave the region. Neither stores nor pharmacies work here. I met the war when I was 7 months pregnant. My son Mark was born in May, and today I'm a single mother.

I'm 55 & disabled. Now I'm a refugee in Germany. I lived in Kharkiv on Saltovka, the most destroyed district with a population of 400,000, where there's still shelling. Before my disability, I worked as an accountant. I knit & crochet for BYYA.

I'm still staying in Kharkiv with my dearest cat Murchik. My beloved grandson is now in Poland with his mom. I miss them very much. Working with BYYA team helps me keep my mind busy and away from all this horror happening right behind my window.

We're forced to leave our city because of war. It happened too fast, I didn't even have time to take the knitting needles. We're now in Poland now. I hope we'll be able to return home. And I'll go back to my knitting. Girls, I love you all! Hold on!
